This was my first DJ gig in NYC & it was one of the best times I've had in a while. Below is the tracklist from my set. I hope you enjoy and, as always, would love to hear any feedback. Thanks to everyone that came out, I was really into all the love I got back from you guys. Can't wait until next time!!! Special thanks to Jane Silence for blessing me with her track "Nightshift." Keep an eye out for this girl. #) Artist - Track (Remix) - Genre 1) Jane Silence - Nightshift (Groovetemple's Progressive Mix) - Progressive House

This is the first podcast in my genre category. Since I am a huge progressive house enthusiast, I used this genre as the jump-off. Special thanks to Tommy Pipes, extreme progressive house lover, on this mix since a handful of these tracks came from him. Enjoy everyone. 1) Tom Novy & Jerry Ropero ft. Abagail Bailey - Touch Me (In the Morning)

Podcast SummaryFirst off, I would just like to congratulate you on your excellent taste in musiQ. Secondly, I would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my mixes. I put a lot of time into these in hopes that you will listen and enjoy as much as I do. I put together these very detailed traQ listing is for several reasons. Reason #1: It frustrates me to no end when I get a promo CD & have no way to find out the artist, traQ & remix names. Reason #2: If you're listening to my mixes, odds are... I like you. I would like to go out and have some cocktails with you, on me. Reason #3: I wanted everyone to know exactly what genres of musiQ are actually being played. R&B artists don't like being called 'rappers'. Therefore, all electronic dance musiQ is NOT called 'techno'. Reason #4: I would like any and all feedback from you. What do you like, what do you hate? I want to know it all. You are my audience and I would like any input you may have on my work. Hope to hear from you soon. I plan on making dozens of different types of mixes. These mixes will be broken into five different categories: Seasonal, Genre, Hommage, Live Sets & Gannon MusiQ. Seasonal mixes, like my "Trick or Beat" mix will be released around the time of their respective holidays. Genre mixes, such as my progressive mix, will be comprised of only one genre of house music & will be released when I feel inspired to create them & can be dropped at any time. Hommage mixes will be compilations of my favorite Producer/DJs tracks. Live sets are pretty explanatory. My Gannon MusiQ mixes are a no holds barred mix and will be comprised of the tracks I am currently obsessed with and want to share with the world. With all that being said, I'd like to thank you all for listening & encourage you to stay tuned for many many more mixes to come! :-) Feel free to sign up for my mailing list, subscribe to my podcast on iTunes or send my page to a friend. One final note, people on my mailing list only get an e-mail when I post a new episode so it will not flood your inbox. About GannonI remember the very first time I listened to electronic dance musiQ at a house party. I was 17 at the time and just started driving. One of my boys (DJ Rixx) told me about this girl whose parents were away for the weekend and was throwing a sick party. Since I was a new driver and finally had the freedom to go wherever I wanted without my parents asking to meet their parents first (you know the deal ;-))... so we checked it out. When I walked in, the living room was full of people drinking and raving to trance musiQ with glo sticks (the usual rave stuff). Back then my knowledge of genres & electronic dance musiQ was minimal (no pun intended). As soon as I got home from the party I logged onto Napster (remember Napster?) & typed in... of course... 'TECHNO'. I used to be one of those jerks that calls all electronic dance musiQ techno, go figure! As it turns out, what I was first turned on to was trance. I remember the first trance track I ever downloaded from Napster. It was DJ Quicksilver's Trance Emotions. I bumped this thing in my 1990 Nissan Maxima like you wouldn't believe! Many many more tracks came to follow ever since that fateful day in October of 2000. I was always into dance musiQ to some extent, but never got the serious itch for it until then. Since then, my addiction has only worsened. Over the years I have expanded my taste to many different genres & every time I tapped into a new one it was comparable to trying a new drug for the first time. It's finally gotten to the point where my love for house musiQ has grown to a point where I need to share it with anyone who will listen. With my support group of friends that I have acquired countless tracks, skills, remixes & words of wisdom from, and now, I plan to enter my own personal form of rehab by DJing.
